Agreed.

Plus, you can usually read the stories from those sites on FR before too long.

I love how fast FR loads on my Kindle or phone and trying to navigate the Blaze on a touch screen is soo annoying.

Too many websites create clutter, because they can.

I recall when desktop publishing got started in the late 1980s, many would use half-a-dozen different fonts on a page. Then came the advent of color desktop printing and multiple colors of fonts on each page. They looked horrible and many were difficult to read.

They, like more current web pages, ignore an aged concept: KISS [Keep It Simple, Stupid!]. Many would get more traffic if they returned to that concept. I hate any web page where I have to guess where links and information are, where videos run automatically — and many times, loudly — without controls, etc.
