“Do what a handful of states have done and have a primary where all voters, members of every party, can vote and the top two vote-getters, regardless of party, then enter a runoff,”

Are you sure you want that? The process where a person can get a plurality of votes but not a majority is what gave us both Senator Alexander and Corker. In both primaries, the conservatives split the conservative vote and allowed the RINO to emerge as the candidate with 35% of the popular vote.

"Do what a handful of states have done and have a primary where all voters, members of every party, can vote and the top two vote-getters, regardless of party, then enter a runoff," Sen. Charles E. Schumer suggests in his scheme to weaken the tea party.

Well, I wouldn't want that, but then again, I wouldn't want to weaken the TEA party! It's a safe bet that there isn't anything that "Chuckie Cheese" Schumer might advise that could possibly be good for Republicans.

If the only difference between Republicans and Democrats is that the Republicans offer to give voters less free stuff -- the Republicans will lose every time.

Rush suggested that the TEA party scares the willies out of the Democrats. I'd agree.
