Federal prosecutors digging into the George Washington Bridge lane closure scandal have issued subpoenas to Gov. Chris Christies re-election campaign and the state Republican Party as the widening probe into allegations that the governors office abused its power gathers steam.
The subpoenas seek documents related to the September lane closures in Fort Lee, said Mark Sheridan, a lawyer representing the Christie for Governor organization and the Republican State Committee.

Amazing how quickly they are going after Christie when there are millions of reasons to go after odumbo and his ilk. Like sharks in bloody water!

I don’t particularly like Christie but this federal probe is nothing more than harassment. Imagine all the investigations that would be required if “political retribution” was actually applied equally to all office-holders, from local to federal. Christie, a former federal prosecutor himself, should be more than capable of defending himself and even inflicting some pain on his attackers in the process. He needs to get in their faces like he did with the NJ unions and other groups that opposed him.
