Germany is conditioning research support and cooperation with Israel on the exclusion of Jewish communities in Judea, Samaria and eastern Jerusalem, AFP reported on Thursday, citing the Haaretz newspaper.
According to the report, Berlins decision represents a significant escalation in European measures against the settlements. Haaretz noted that a 1986 treaty of the German-Israeli Foundation for Scientific Research and Development states that the foundation will only sponsor projects within the geographic areas under the jurisdiction of the State of Israel before the 1967 Six Day War.
The Germans reportedly want to apply that clause to the German-Israeli funding program (DIP), an agreement signed in 1970 that is renewed annually on March 31, as well as to an agreement between the states providing German funding for industrial and applied research and development, Haaretz said.

Germans dictating to Jews. How retro.
Judea ist Judenfrei.
Really! The Germans are getting uppity again.
Not yet, but that’s the goal.
Why not? It worked out so well for them the last time.
This report is cited to an questionable source ( leftist newspaper with lots of Jewish suicide syndrome editorial tendencies). I will wait for verification from a more reliable source before reacting ( other than to observe that isr is not going to give up her little land any more anyway).
And the time before that! You’d think they’d have enough shame to keep their bratwurst holes shut on the subject for a couple of centuries.
Same old shit, minus the Swastika.
Maybe they should try to Cuomo/Hitler approach to Israel’s existence: “We don’t want people like you here”!
Germany seeks Holocaust II.
No surprise there, from the Land of Hitler.

Other countries to cooperate with I suppose. As Olog-hai correctly notes, the result will be Palestinians losing their jobs. A small price to pay if Germany can punish Jews.
While I agree that the restriction is not a good thing, how exactly is giving Israel FREE research money since 1970 “punishing Jews”? Seems every comment so far disregards that part.
