just made an incredible play that was chosen specifically to shame him,

Oh bullshit! You've been listening too much to ESPN and Sherman....both of which have no credibility whatsoever......

His rant was both obnoxious and uncalled for under the circumstances and you'd be hard pressed to find any other post game interviews that rivaled his in terms of both arrogance and ignorance.........

Had I been the interviewer with the microphone, I would have turned and walked away from the fool and let the MSM critique MY actions.........

Sherman is nothing more than a self absorbed, narcissistic prick who is going to learn a lesson in humility when he faces Denver.........

If potentially watching the next sunrise from inside a body-bag is not an occupational hazard for you, you’re not a warrior.

BINGO!

That was her thought exactly. On top of that you should have seen the looks on the faces of the contractors that were working my projects when I would roll up on them to do an inspection.

These guys are jacked up on adrenaline and testosterone, things are said.

That's bullshit and a convenient alibi to give to these athletes who should be acting like professionals.......

I didn't see Manning ranting in front of the camera, I never saw Brees ranting in front of a camera, I never saw Barry Sanders ranting in front of a camera, I never saw .etc, etc, etc........;..

Only this dumbass named Sherman..........

Richard Sherman graduated from Stanford in 2010. I am seeing reports that Sherman’s SAT score was 1400 out of a perfect 1600. Even though it was a retaken test, he is pretty smart (I retook my SAT when I discovered it was not good).

"You do make wild leaps of logic. Very impressive."

Nope, I just call 'em like I see 'em. You said you preferred Sherman and then listed all the evil men you could think of, who wore suits. I call that a logical conclusion.

DariusBane (in court): "Your Honor, I realize I said outside the courtroom to that reporter that men wearing robes are sissy a-holes, but it's a wild leap of logic for you to assume that I included you in that statement."

Judge: You insulted my appearance, and now you insult my intelligence? 30 days for contempt of court."

Dude, take a Rhetoric course at your local junior college. Of course, maybe you're like that fellow in Plaza Suite who asks his wife, "Who are you going to believe? Me or your lying eyes?"

I believe the scoring scale got changed from 1600 to 2400 in 2006.
Nothing wrong in retaking the tests (you get three shots). The scores typically don't change all that much though.

The "T" word is now the new "N" word.

How many more "?" words will be declared off limits by our Thought Police?

This is juvenile, really grade school stuff. But it illustrates what we are becoming as a nation. It is not a good place to be.

Re: Posts 146 and 150
You were correct. I saw 2010 and thought you were referencing his SAT test dates. The dangers of skim reading.
Looks like he took the tests when the max was 1600. I also see your comment about his earlier scores. He jumped from 990/1050 to 1400. Good for him, and pretty incredible...

"You are also quite excited after winning an important game. You probably would not know about that. Oh well."

What are you talking about? Did you even read my post? I said Sherman just got caught up in the moment and went on to say it was no big deal and too much was being made of this.

Do i need to cover the thread for you. You said you did not like the way Mr. Sherman looked. You then posted the picture of Mr. West, implying that respectable people are well groomed and well spoken. I pointed out that plenty of well groomed people who wear suits and speak well are monsters.

Some how, some way you offered that i was asserting that all men in suits are thugs. You then said i should post on the Daily Kos.

That is an absurd logical leap. Now you are clinging to an absurd position hoping that by escalating your rhetoric you can be proven right. This is the equivalent of just talking louder and faster trying to win by bullying.

Not going to work for you. Put down the shovel. Stop digging. It’s ok to be wrong. I am wrong all the time and i am still breathing.

Professional athletes are not "warriors". They do not engage in, or train for war. Therefore, how can they be "warriors"?

What's the difference between a REMF who does crypto analysis and an F-18 pilot? Easy...one is a REMF who does not risk his life on a daily basis, fighting his nation's battles, and the other is.

There are no civilian "warriors". Boxers are boxers. Football players are football players. Thugs from Compton are thugs from Compton. Combat arms soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines are warriors...no one else.

Words mean things.

Yes, words do indeed mean things.

And how each person defines words for themselves, defines their life.

For example, how a person defines "war."

Best of luck to you. I think you're going to need it.

Talk to me about the dangers Sherman faces, versus 40-odd SEALs and other personnel on a CH47 Chinook getting shot down by RPGs in Afghanistan, and then tell what’s absurd.

You can see things anyway/however you choose to, friend. That is what an “opinion” forum is all about. That yours happens to disagree with mine is just the way it is.

Hmm, 40-odd SEALs facing death.

How many million American women getting their genitals felt up at airports all over America? And how many people facing that atrocity, while Muslims proceed unmolested? You want to talk about warriors, what happens when those men come home and have to put up with that? Who'se going to study the law and change it - peacefully - to stop the rape, and destruction of the country? You know why conservatives don't do that? You know why your limited-definition of warrior doesn't do that?

It's too dangerous, that's why.

Strut your military attitude all you want - you're still bringing your wife and duaghters to the airport while standing meekly by, never even cracking the statutes to see what the limitations are, because you're too afraid to stand up to it.

Warrirors go to where the battle is - not to where they want it to be. And denager doesn't just come from a bullet - the danger to the mind and emotions that millions face if they act courageously is just as real as a bullet.

And if you actually need to face bullets, then just try to stand up for the right interpretations of the limitations of the laws in this country and see what reality-check the SWAT teams give you. Oh, except you won't - because it's too dangerous.
