That comment is out of line. Personal attacks against the OP are not permitted on FR. Primarily because it’s too easy to do and anyone can do it. And also because it contributes NOTHING to the discussion. If you can’t argue the premise and can’t figure out what the difference is, then don’t comment.

I was simply making a general point. I guess if the shoe fits, wear it. From the look of most of the posts, the trend is against your position that this “shooting” was somehow “justified.” And for the record, I did argue the facts. I believe that people should not be cops for a lifetime career. The environment is too toxic and is results in an anti-social personality that affects all that are ever around them. And it’s broader for me since I think that LEOs have become a generally abusive and disgraceful lot who take pleasure in physically abusing the rest of us and in routinely getting away with their unconstitutional behavior. For me the word “moron” fits the vast majority of them. Sorry!

This kinda reminds me of instances like road rage, where someone is driving in the left lane at the same speed or slower than the right lane, or say, sharply cutting someone off. But in this case, it was someone using their phone in a theater.

Being right or wrong in what you are doing, is not going to stop some nut from making it a lethal situation. Unless you are prepared to accommodate the lethal level of occurrence, it's best to apologize or just stop what you are doing. These are not the times to engage angrily with strangers. There are tons of crazies out there waiting to go off.
