The numbers come from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and looked at 9,000 people.
The research followed all races of men from the time they were 12-16 years old until they were adults.
The findings say 49% of black men had been arrested by the time they were 23. Hispanic men were next with a 44% arrest rate. 38% of white men reported they had spent time behind bars.
The crimes covered everything from assault to underage drinking with minor traffic arrests not factored in.
The numbers told a very different story when it came to women.
20% of white females say they had been in the pokey by age 23. Hispanic women were next at 18% and black women third at 16%.

Games with statistics, the same way they come up with 50% of females having abortions.
Every arrest is counted as 1 person..Doesn’t take into account career criminals and plea bargains.
It’s the reason for 3 strike laws.
Me neither. Seems like a BS statistic.
I worked for at least 6 differetn police agencies, I was in the Reserves Security Police with 30 other men who were mostly state and local police officers, my brother is in the FBI.
I know the statistic about black males is true - AT LEAST half of all that I have met have been to jail, a large protion for theft, assault, and drugs.
MOST white people I know have never been arrested for anything except for traffic infractions. (I was too, when my license was suspended and my ex-wife didnt bother to forward the mail to me)
They have clearly cooked the books on these numbers to deflate black statistics, and inflate white statistics.
Just like you hear that “there are more white people on welfare than black people’ which is true, except there are 9 times as many white people, but there are not 9 times as many on welfare- As a percentage more than HALF the black population is on welfare, as opposed to about 15% of whites.
