These days I am constantly watching all sides of where I am and if someone approaches me in a manner not normal... I am ready.
I’ll just say it straight out-I am racially profiling. Young or thuggishly dressed blacks, single or in groups, including females, I don’t go near, or in the vicinities where they are. In th case of these kinds of attacks, how else can you protect yourself? Even if you carry, by the time they’ve sneaked up and sucker-punched you, it’s too late. The only protection is to completely avoid them and the places they are.
