RUSH: Now, this business with Obama, I maintain this is serious. I maintain this is psychologically serious. You have to remember he utters this stuff to the New Yorker, it gets picked up by every left-wing publication, and the low-information crowd's gonna eat this stuff up. So Obama's basically saying he's done great things, he's rebuilt the economy, 44 straight months of job growth, we got all kinds of great new green energy things. He's basically just lying through his teeth about the greatness of this country and how great he's been. And none of it's true. None of it is true. And then he's asked to explain his plummeting approval numbers in light of all those great things. It's gotta be racism. This, folks, I'm telling you is, I think, potentially dangerous.

I know everybody in politics lies at one time or another, but this... We have strayed so far from the truth in so much of our public life and political life that people are losing faith in all of it, which is somewhat understandable. And when that happens, when people lose faith in it, they just tune it out. And when that happens, it just paves the way for the totalitarians. It just paves the way for the statists who just want to assume control. The greatest thing they can do is create such frustration and so forth in the public, that they just tune out all this stuff because they don't believe any of it.

A side issue, but in fairness to Brad Pitt, all he was doing was *funding* that charity that built those “green” houses in New Orleans; he didn’t go out and buy the wood himself. And, after sitting for years in the Louisiana climate, if not cared for (and many of these houses being owned by New Orleans blacks, they’re likely not maintained), most wooden houses are going to start to degrade.

He also said in this interview that the reason people don't like him, the reason his approval numbers are plummeting is because of racism. "Obama said that racial tensions may have softened his popularity among white voters within the last two years, according to a story posted on the New Yorker magazine's website today.

"'There's no doubt that there's some folks who just really dislike me because they don't like the idea of a black president,' Obama said in the article..." So, what, white Americans have just figured out Obama's black in the last two years?
