I don’t do road rage at all anymore. I spent a few years commuting on the 495 Belway in DC. It cures you. Also, I carry concealed. So if a situation starts to evolve, I make sure to be the first to give a wide birth, pull off, let them pass or get away. I don’t want to have to shoot someone because they got upset with my passing them on the right after politely waiting fro them to move out of the left lane.
That area outside of Chicago where Chicago drivers and Indiana drivers have to share the same road is dangerous in all sorts of ways. I avoid it all together.
Your first few sentences speak to why I believe Trayvon Martin started the physical altercation with Zimmerman. The one with the gun is not the one that starts a fist fight.
But if I CC, I completely agree. With the one exception, and it was a guy like the guy in the camry, I let ‘em go. Life’s too short.
But, since I moved to central KY from Seattle, It doesn’t happen any more. Go figure.
That said, I drive that stretch of I-80 from Chicago to I-65 several times a year. It’s an, uh, interesting stretch of road due to the wide range of driving styles one encounters.
