Syrian rebels accidentally decapitate the wrong man, ask for public for ‘understanding and forgivene

Militant Islamist rebels in Syria linked to Al-Qaeda have asked for “understanding and forgiveness” for cutting off and putting on display the wrong man’s head.

In a public appearance filmed and posted online, members of Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham, one brandishing a knife, held up a bearded head before a crowd in Aleppo. They triumphantly described the execution of what they said was a member of an Iraqi Shia militia fighting for President Bashar Al-Assad.

But the head was recognised from the video as belonging to a member of Ahrar Al-Sham, a Sunni Islamist rebel group that often fights alongside ISIS though it does not share its Al-Qaeda ideology.

After inquiries, an ISIS spokesman admitted he was Mohammed Fares, an Ahrar commander reported missing some days ago. This could not be independently confirmed, but in an earlier video of a speech by Mr Fares he bears a close resemblance to the severed head in the later video. The Syrian Observatory of Human Rights, which monitors deaths in the Syrian conflict, and several activists on social media, said that ISIS misunderstood comments that the man made referring to the Imams Ali and Hussein, the founding fathers of Shiism.

The ISIS spokesman, Omar Al-Qahtani, made reference to a story in which Mohammed said Allah would forgive a man who killed a believer in error. He said that Mr Fares had been injured and, thinking he had been captured by members of the Shia militia against which he was fighting, asked them to kill him in terms misunderstood by the ISIS members when in fact he meant taking him to hospital.

The car bombing was fatal. I think he was named Morgan. Apparently his wife had returned stateside after being in an escorted convoy that was attacked by terrorists prior to his murder.

I believe that he was in a supervisor job and that his murder occurred around the time of the attack on the Western residential compound.

The Saudis in conjunction with their State Dept. pals said that Morgan died in a “car wreck”.

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

BTW, I am doing this from memory; don’t have any details “on paper”.

The 30,000+ Saudis who get educated here get inculcated with more Western and modern ideas than anyone cares to believe.
Those Saudis take back Western values whether they think they like it or not.
FOUR + years at an American university? Please, that affects EVERYONE who attends.

So, I think of the Western education as the Americanization Europeanization of the Rest of the World.

There is NO place in the world where women get treated any better than in the West. And for me, how a culture treats its women is a key to that culture's civilization.

The West treats women well because the West is Christian and Mary set the example and raised the bar. She would, of course, since she became the mother of Jesus, God.

The leadership change in Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi people NEVER have to worry about a rotten king. The royal family assassinates its own. Always has; probably always will.

We saw it ourselves when we were over there.

I’m not trying to be difficult, but do you realize the leaning of our university professors? You see them spewing the same filth they do to our kids, and that improving the vision of Saudi Students towards the United States? I’m sorry, but they turn our home-grown into America haters. How can you extrapolate a positive outcome from foreign nationals being presented with the same bias?

UnAmerican profs and angry students are par for the course.

FORTUNATELY students leave those unpatriotic profs, get into the REAL world, some travel and MOST grow up, get jobs, marry, have children, pay taxes, go to Church and REALIZE that we are the LUCKIEST people in the world.

I worked with those moron profs for decades. They retire, go away and die. The students ALSO don't listen to many of them because the students come from ALL kinds of families, many of whom had military in their family, were cops, fire fighters and so on.

MANY students also have to work to get a college education. NONE of them have the cavalier attitude of their profs because they ALREADY know that life is SO MUCH more than a few angry profs.

People learn that life is sacrifice, compromise and walking the straight and narrow. Life is a blink of an eye and eternity doesn't end. Students DO figure that out, eventually. You did, Mr.D.O.

I was a lucky one. I grew up during the Vietnam War. I watched the pothead anti-war movement, and was able to put two and two together before I reached eighteen. It was clear those students were being manipulated by the Marxists. You could see the players in Europe even more clearly. Guys like Kerry and their ilk were milking it for all they were worth.

On my eighteenth birthday I signed up for the draft and registered to vote. “Republican baby!” I never looked back.

Our university campuses are seriously damaging young minds. Some of those folks will take a decade to come around. Others never will.

Hillary Clinton is one such person. An inner city religious person with Leftist leanings got to her in high school. She was a Goldwater Girl for heaven’s sake. By the time this guy got through with her, she was a vile twisted killer (for all intents and purposes) for the Left. He started a relationship with her that lasted for decades as they corresponded with each other.

Never sell the University Profs short. Osama Bin Laden attended our universities. So have many other terrorist operatives. Fidel Castro did.

If others come by, I’ll bet you get plenty of examples of people who were educated in the U. S. and hate it with a passion.

Also MANY good people have attended our universities.
There are TONS of good and bad people in the world. You learned to deal with the bad. Now try to deal with the good.

Our universities are NOT going to DAMAGE our young people. By the time children are two-six, the cake is baked, so to speak. By the time folks get to the university level they REALLY are adults. I taught that age group for 27 years. They ARE adults READY to face the world.

Why underestimate them? I don't and I had almost three decades of knowing them. I had the same amount of time dealing with profs. They are just folks too, just with more letters after their name. I taught p.e. and profs pretty much level out with the rest of the human race when they are stripped down to gym shorts. :o)

I play sports at a gym club and REALLY you can't tell tell the profs, bankers or bakers from each other when they are all dressed in shorts and tennis shoes.

Since you see everything as roses coming out of our Universities, what do you attribute the large vote that goes to the Left each General Election out of this group?

It isn’t until the early 30s that this starts turning around, and I’m not certain it is turning around in near the numbers it used to.

Did I say "everything"??? I didn't. I was simply telling you my experience of teaching this age group for 27 years. But, then, you seem to dismiss that too. Oh well.
Besides, this country has OFTEN voted Democrat. They voted for Mr. & Mrs. Sleezebag and re-elected them--Clinton. Carter, peanut king, another democrat. I don't know why people vote that way--but we still seem to be a wealthy country so voting for idiots doesn't seem to do irreparable damage.

So, it's turning around, is it? First you deprecate, then you admit to it's turning around. Odd logic. Oh well.

Look, we have upwards of 90% of our university campus professers registered Democrats. Some campuses are undoubtedly better, but these days the dogma is far far left. Our Founders aren’t getting a fair shake.

It’s my take they push the founding as if it was made up of a bunch off KKK wanna-bes, not explaining why the issue of Slavery couldn’t have been settled then.

It’s an easy issue to explain. Who explains it?

I’m not dismissing your comments based on your 27 year experience, but the questions scream out from the rocks when you say some of the things you do.

Let me reference this: “Besides, this country has OFTEN voted Democrat. They voted for Mr. & Mrs. Sleezebag and re-elected them—Clinton. Carter, peanut king, another democrat. I don’t know why people vote that way—but we still seem to be a wealthy country so voting for idiots doesn’t seem to do irreparable damage.”

Right now we have close to 25% of our workforce unemployed. We have another 25% of our workforce working for far less than they did five years ago. Voting for the idiots that haven’t fixed this has created a situation where it could take twenty-thirty years for us to turn this around. You honestly don’t see any irreparable damage? That’s a full generation lost. That isn’t reparable. For them it’s a done deal right now.

I’m not sure what you taught, but there’s an old adage. It goes something like this. “If you aren’t Liberal when you’re young, you have no heart. If you aren’t a Conservative by the time you’re older, you have no brain.”

This is a tongue in cheek saying, but there’s more than a grain of truth in it. Traditionally, the kids coming out of our universities lean Left. As they get older, have to enter the real world, and see that things don’t hold to model their professors said they would, they move more right.

There are times when this change doesn’t take place as universally as it otherwise would. The late 60s early 70s was one such period. Today’s government has many hippy pot-head types pushing their agenda in our government today. They didn’t self-correct. Many of them didn’t because they entered the revolving door of politics and academia.

Today we have another such period developing because the kids today are told not to even listen to opposing views. I’ve seen it on the street. These kids don’t want to be confronted with truth. If you challenge their ideas, they call it propaganda and shut down any discussion. These people aren’t going to move right in traditional numbers.

That bodes terrible for our nation. I don’t think it’ all that hard to understand either.

Abraham Lincoln said: You can modify human action to some extent, but you cannot change human nature.

Albert Einstein said: Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.

We haven't changed much since Adam and Eve, not one single iota. We are just BILLIONS more people on the earth.

Okay, then most of us here are wrong to herald what is taking place in our nation. We have seen it drift far far left.

It’s to the point now, where it doesn’t matter if you’re a citizen or not, to become president and govern from the White House.

Do you think that could have worked in the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s?

You honestly don’t believe we have changed?

You and I don’t share these views.
