This is the first picture of nun and new mother Roxana Rodriguez.
The 33-year-old woman, a nun with the order of the Little Disciples of Jesus, stunned her mother superior and local church chiefs after giving birth last week to a baby boy which she has called Francis, in honour of the current Pope.
Sister Roxana initially claimed to have no idea that she was pregnant and thought her labour pains were 'stomach cramps' when an ambulance rushed her to hospital in severe pain after being called by fellow nuns when she collapsed at her nunnery.

“Is there any scripture that supports God requiring celibacy for the shepherds of his flock?”
No, and that is why it is a voluntary vow in the Church as well.
Well, it is 2014 because that many years ago, some church folks decided to invent the birthdate and year of Jesus Christ because they were tired of pagans celebrating the Winter Solstice.
It could be 4,000,000,000,00018 for all we know.
Sure you have.
Hearsay, written by other people and translated a hundred times.
Theres no evidence of that here.
So, you are unfamiliar with Greek, Roman, African, Norse, Native American or a thousand other mythologies.
Have not. I've attacked some beliefs, but no individuals.
In the years past you have normally posted thoughtfully. Your posts here are without thought.
All but three sentences of the bible have multiple sources. The original writings are available in Greek and Hebrew.
First you try to spread doubt as to the existence of the man named Jesus. Now you try to spread doubt as to the bible without actually making an argument.
“Hearsay, written by other people and translated a hundred times.”
I understand that’s your view - but your view is irrelevant here. Those who are Christians will believe the words of Christ. Those who are not will respond as you are.
“So, you are unfamiliar with Greek, Roman, African, Norse, Native American or a thousand other mythologies.”
No, I’m familiar with them all. But you points simply don’t apply to Christianity. If you actually have the intelligence and diligence to form and post some sort of argument, feel free to do so. Until then I can only conclude that you are not doing anything but posing nonsensically.
You’ve attacked Jesus and you’ve attacked the Christian faith and those who believe in it. A faith widely held here on FR.
I have not done so.
I have questioned, but not attacked.
A faith widely held here on FR.
There was also a faith widely held here that Ron Paul is or was the spawn of Satan and was or would be a bad POTUS or POTUS candidate. It was also widely held that George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, Bob Dole, John McCain and/or Mitt Romney were the cat's meow.
So what?
Immaculate contractions haPPens.
“I have questioned, but not attacked.”
You said Jesus consorted with prostituted before saying he may have or may not have existed. Then belittled anyone who believes in Jesus or the Christian faith.
ROFLMAO!
Thank you. But I wasn’t aware that Catholic priests had a choice to not be celibate and was strictly voluntary.
And fealty issues as well.
If so then she wouldn’t have taken her final vows at the time she got pregnant.
But Mother Superior, I don’t know how it happened!
I know people who believe Christ was married (and a polygamist). However, Christ not being married (which would have been a sin - selfishness) does not mean that we should not be married.
Also, while there were celibate marriages as early as the 4th century, priestly celibacy did not become a rule until later.
//It’s based on Jesus words/teaching when asked by a widow which of her seven dead husbands would be her husband in heaven. Jesus answered her that she knew not (more words), those that are counted worthy of that life neither marry nor are given in marriage but are as the angels in heaven.”//
That is totally taking that verse out of context. While it is true that there is no marriage in heaven (contrary to what Mormons teach), it does not make a case for celibacy.
