This writer is an idiot, but a typical modern, Freudian idiot where everything is all about sex. (Although even Freud thought that homosexuality was the sign of an undeveloped personality.)

I think it was Freud's cocaine usage that fueled his fascination with sex (same pleasure center bombardment with addictive substances). But I do agree completely with him that homosexuality is a developmental problem.

Could be. Most psychotherapists are trying to cure their own ailments, especially after the level of subjectivity that Freud introduced into the theory.
