The researchers believe that the artificial sweeteners may activate more reward centers in the brain. This in turn affects a persons appetite, making the diet drinkers eat more food because they dont think they are getting enough sugar in their bloodstreams.

I just don’t buy into the idea that diet drinks “trick” people into eating more. We’re all responsible for how much we choose to eat. I can tell when I’m full regardless of what I’m drinking.
