No, I’m just trying to protect those who do not have the Eucharist. He IS that strong, that being without Him, you have more chance for failure, or in this case, being overtaken by the devil, which IS abortion. So please don’t tell me what I seem to be doing, without knowing up front of my work.

P.S. By the way, I, myself, a Catholic, haven't been to a prolife march in front of a PP since 2010, for the same precise reason (no Eucharist; no protection); there were NO daily Masses (we searched and searched) that we could attend prior to the marches which began at 9:00 a.m. on Saturdays, so we took our fight to the chapels instead. http://adorationrocks.com

I don't think that God (or the unborn) are much impressed with such forms of piety.
And don-o, this offends me the most, as my lost child, Mary Elizabeth, 3-16-78, guides me from heaven (along with Sts. Mary and Elizabeth), to help those here on earth with the fight.

If you think the babies in heaven aren't impressed with such "forms of piety," well I can tell you that mlizzy is.

Hello, mlizzy!

I heartily agree that people need to be spiritually fortified by prayer, fasting, almsgiving, and the Sacraments, in preparation for spiritual combat in front of an abortion clinic. However, I would never discourage a person from participating in a vigil or doing sidewalk counseling, because they lacked some of of these means of sanctification.

I used to be with Operation Rescue when OR was doing sit-ins ("rescues"), and did my first one in 1987. I did six 40-day campaigns, two of them solo. I'm not posing as "pro-life prodigy," -- far from it truth to tell --- but just so you can know I'm speaking as well as I can from long experience.

I knew one man personally (Jim Kopp) who was a devoted Catholic who frequented the Sacraments, who about 15 years ago succumbed to one of the devil's deceptions, went after Bernard Slepian, an abortionist, and shot him dead. I know, as well, many devoted Evangelical prayer-vigil volunteers who have not the advantage of any of the Sacraments except Baptism, but whose devotion and spiritual fortitude are second to none.

You do them no justice by telling them to keep away.

If you keep reminding us, though, of the need to be close to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, you are doing well. I, a weak one, need to be reminded constantly of Him who is our strength.

Sorry--- For what it's worth, I meant to say I did my first rescue in 1978, not 1987. I'm going dyslecix.

I am grateful for your prayers.

We'll have to agree to disagree, Mrs. Don-o. The devil laughs when he sees unprotected people. And I'm talking ONLY about the fight right at the door. Satan is strongest there; and he'll go after anyone he can. Protestants (and unprotected or weak Catholics) can fight with prayer several paces back.

As far as Jim Kopp, very sad. He should have stayed away from PP's doors, if in fact, he went there to begin with. Possibly "everyone" should unless they are escorted by an Orthodox, or an orthodox Catholic priest (with the Eucharist). Father Euteneuer, himself an exorcist, fell, in part, because he didn't take the devil seriously.

It is my understanding that what we are attempting to do at the abortion mills is to offer an alternative to these troubled mothers to be. Not to protest, not to call them sinners, but to let them know that there are agencies that will help them through their pregnancies.

That was my understanding as well.

And don-o, this offends me the most

It is not my intention to denigrate any spiritual practices that flow from the plenitude of God's love and mercy. And if my opinion of how the Heavenly Father looks at His children differs from yours, it need not be taken as a personal affront.

Second, you should go to experience the power of the devil...The sense of demonic presence is oppressive, weighty. -RC Sproul, Jr
Mrs. Don-o, in the future, some courageous soul might write an article on the women who have fallen to Satan on the front lines of fighting the pro-life fight. It would not, I imagine, be an article one would feel comfortable writing about, and hence, that's probably why you haven't seen one written yet.

We, ourselves, are in on-again, off-again contact with two women who were overtaken on the front lines of their pro-life fight, and now fight like crazy to extract their demons. Both are seeing exorcists. There are others, too, we have spoken with briefly. They admit they were vulnerable women to begin with, but that doesn't mean one should not warn all peoples of weak faith (and especially those without the power of the Eucharist), to not walk amongst the fires of hell. If this wasn't an important issue we indeed knew something about, I would not have mentioned it. Please try to realize you're not the only "bright bulb" in the pro-life fight.

And please also re-read the quote above.

And then take it to the chapel and pray! :)

It sounds frightful. I will pray for those women, and anybody else under demonic attack.
