No, I’m just trying to protect those who do not have the Eucharist. He IS that strong, that being without Him, you have more chance for failure, or in this case, being overtaken by the devil, which IS abortion. So please don’t tell me what I seem to be doing, without knowing up front of my work.

P.S. By the way, I, myself, a Catholic, haven't been to a prolife march in front of a PP since 2010, for the same precise reason (no Eucharist; no protection); there were NO daily Masses (we searched and searched) that we could attend prior to the marches which began at 9:00 a.m. on Saturdays, so we took our fight to the chapels instead. http://adorationrocks.com

Hello, mlizzy!

I heartily agree that people need to be spiritually fortified by prayer, fasting, almsgiving, and the Sacraments, in preparation for spiritual combat in front of an abortion clinic. However, I would never discourage a person from participating in a vigil or doing sidewalk counseling, because they lacked some of of these means of sanctification.

I used to be with Operation Rescue when OR was doing sit-ins ("rescues"), and did my first one in 1987. I did six 40-day campaigns, two of them solo. I'm not posing as "pro-life prodigy," -- far from it truth to tell --- but just so you can know I'm speaking as well as I can from long experience.

I knew one man personally (Jim Kopp) who was a devoted Catholic who frequented the Sacraments, who about 15 years ago succumbed to one of the devil's deceptions, went after Bernard Slepian, an abortionist, and shot him dead. I know, as well, many devoted Evangelical prayer-vigil volunteers who have not the advantage of any of the Sacraments except Baptism, but whose devotion and spiritual fortitude are second to none.

You do them no justice by telling them to keep away.

If you keep reminding us, though, of the need to be close to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, you are doing well. I, a weak one, need to be reminded constantly of Him who is our strength.

Sorry--- For what it's worth, I meant to say I did my first rescue in 1978, not 1987. I'm going dyslecix.

I am grateful for your prayers.
