Who’s Stan Lee?
Since Rush just sales Tea and kids’ Books these days, they figured Stan Lee sales more comic books than Rush’s Tea and Books combined. Maybe.
stan lee? paaaaaaleeeeze what a fake.
he is just about the money and even sold the rights to his name. lost all his lawsuits and only makes money from lame cameos.
I’ve never heard of Stan Lee.
I used to read Lee’s comic books as a kid but his movies don’t interest me, seems like kid stuff.
Ironically its similar with Rush,
I actually think that’s fair. Rush shouldn’t even be on the list; labeling him as a celeb rather than a political commentator and influencer diminishes his work over the last 20+ years.
Lee? Isn’t he the guy that used to write the one-page text stories in “Marvel Mystery Comics” in the days before World War 2?
Stan Lee has been on the public scene thirty years longer than Rush has.
Ha! I just rescued a little old Maltese dog on Saturday, we named him Stan Lee after this guy because we like Big Bang Theory and those guys revere this writer of comics.
“Rush smash”
Big Bang Theory is the only reason anyone knows Stan Lee.
Funny!
The only reason anyone (mostly) knows anything about him, is because he is talked about on Big Bang Theory.
Stan Lee hasn’t “created” anything of note in at least 30 decades. Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko (who’s still alive) were CO-creators (and the artists behind the works as well).
The company almost went bankrupt when Bill Clinton’s pal at Revlon bought it out in the 1990s and tried to monopolize distribution (bought the leading distributor) and flooded the market with “buy it now” trendy covers. Retailers had to accept full publishing inventory of titles in order to receive the competative discount on pricing.
The same rat bastard paid off Monica Lewinsky when she was having to lie under oath (she had a six figure salary but no skills).
Stan Lee has his own Clinton scandals associated with Hillary Clinton.
This is just a load of bunk.
Here is the list:
1. Steven Spielberg
2. Oprah
3. George Lucas
4. Ron Howard
5. Martin Scorsese
6. Dr. Oz
7. Barbara Walters
8. Bono
9. Stan Lee
10. Rush
I always check to see if they served in the military so I can add them to my list of Celebrities In Uniform. Here’s the details about Lee:
Lee entered the United States Army in early 1942 and served stateside in the Signal Corps, writing manuals, training films, and slogans, and occasionally cartooning. His military classification, he says, was “playwright”; he adds that only nine men in the U.S. Army were given that title.
Meh. I’m just happy that a bunch of Holly-Libs ranked Rush as high as they did.
Stan wouldn’t have been that “creative” without artists like Kirby, Ayers, Ditko, etc... He’d basically call them up with a basic idea for a plot and then they’d turn in the art, which he’d then dialogue the pages based on their notes.
His brother, Larry Lieber is the more competent writer, IMHO.
I’m surprised that Stan Lee is on a 2014 list, considering that most of his achievements were done before I grew up.
So Rush is in Forbes top 10 most influential people and this idiot paper tries to sping the story that someone who didn’t deserve it, edged Rush out by one place. This is totally leftist delusional tripe.
Honest headline, based on facts:
Rush Limbaugh on Forbes Top 10 Most Influential Celebrities
