More bad news for New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. As he tries to survive an explosive corruption scandal and stave off a federal audit on use of Hurricane Sandy funds, a new study ranks New Jersey the least economically solvent state in the nation.

Can’t argue with that - but the Jersey voting record and political composition of the legislature is Democrat.
Its Bushs fault
If I owned a business in New York State, it would bother me as illegal & unconstitutional that New York is paying other people to come to New York to compete against me. Isn’t that unfair to businesses & business people who’ve been in New York for many years? Giving a tax break to newcomers that one-timers don’t get is the WORST kind of corruption & abuse of governmental power!
doesn’t it sort of violate “equal protection of the laws” for New York State to give tax breaks for newcomers to compete against old-timers? Doesn’t that create an unlevel playing field for business? Suppose I own a restaurant & a new guy moves in next door to me using that new tax incentive from governor Cuomo & he competes against me, but he pays no tax for 10 years, whereas I pay the tax. In ten years of tax favoritism, won’t he use that tax advantage to put me out of business? He could afford to hire away my best staff workers by paying them more...or drop the prices below mine using his tax advantage...no?
Forgot
New “immigrants” get that break for their businesses from the Feds. :(
I beg to differ on the housing market “crash” not happening here in NJ. It did and prices have fallen from their high in 2006 about 25% where I live in the northwest suburbs.
The problem financially with the state is the legacy costs of the Democratic controlled legislation of the past decades and the unions in teaching and public sectors.
We finance a lot of this with the highest property taxes in the country which burdens the aging population. Finally the environmental restrictions have driven most of the manufacturing sector, especially the chemical industry, out of the state, where much of it started.
NJ is like California with a rich/poor ratio that’s unhealthy, high taxes driving out the middle class and retirees, and an unfriendly attitude for business. Christie has to deal with all of that and a government that wants to fight him at every turn.
You can see the animosity toward him in this latest media feeding frenzy.
So I don’t think he’s as much a Rino as a pragmatist. He also knows how to win. an election. I would rather have him than any Democrat in the White House. If there’s someone else who can win with more conservative credentials, I’d vote for him over Christie but he’s yet to surface.
Ahhh, I can see why the MSM was backing a rather liberal Christie now... they knew he’d be easy to take down...
Christie had to be destroyed to make way for our next president Jeb Bush. That’s the NWO plan.
Of the two, I’d pick Christie ahead of the other RINO. His RINO daddy and RINO brother had enough time helping wreck America along with the Clintons and the current criminal in the White House.
If its not in first place, it must be close.
they can’t blame everything on christie, he has a democrat legislature in both houses and nothing can be done without a compromise. also, nj was a big mess way before he got in. his republican predecessors were horrible too, kean and whitless. 2 losers in my book.
