HARRISBURG, Pa. - A state judge has struck down the law requiring Pennsylvania's voters to show photo identification at the polls.

Commonwealth Court Judge Bernard McGinley said the requirement that was the centerpiece of Pennsylvania's embattled 2012 voter identification law places an unreasonable burden on the fundamental right to vote.

Where’s the burden? You go to your county seat, stand in line for two minutes, get your photo taken, and get handed a laminated card (hopefully with a bar code). It’s no more difficult than the actual process of voting itself! Sheesh.

How about we put the ‘client’s’ photo on their EBT card?

We have every ‘disenfranchised person’ with a photo ID free of charge.

We plug a huge hole in welfare fraud.

A win win for the taxpaying citizens

Don't get me wrong; I don't for a minute think that an argument-any argument-will dissuade these fascist bastards from their manifest course to dismantle this great nation.
That been said, has anyone made the case in these courts that the people have a right to vote but nobody has a right to cheat?

There is no “fundamental right to vote” no more than there is a fundamental right to drive, get a bank account, or have a job, all of which you need to have ID for.

Yes, it would suppress voting 110% Democrat in many precinct of Philly. What we really need for U.S. voters is that finger stuck in indelible ink that the Iraqi voters do. An added bonus, dead people don’t have working fingers.

places an unreasonable burden on the fundamental right to vote.

Who defines 'unreasonable'? How does HE define unreasonable?

Surely, as circumstances change (rampant voter fraud) this issue must be fluid and we must be allowed to make requirements to keep the process pure. Sorry...I meant....to clean up the festering fumarole that is the voting process.

And yeah...he's a DemocRAT. And quite the elitist too.

A vote can harm a lot more people than any individual’s gun.

So does a Concealed Carry Permit (ID) place to great a burden on the fundamental right to keep and bear arms?

Not a great burden but it is clearly an infringement.

Most of these laws carry “provisional ballot” language allowing anyone to cast a vote without ID,

and the provisional ballots will only be looked at if the margin is less than the number of uncounted ballots.

Well then! I don’t need an ID to buy a gun, either!

Right?

Let me guess. Democrat appointment, right?

-———****

Partial correct in that he is a democrat, but elected back in 1981 to a lower court and elected
to his current court in 1987. He was re-elected in 2008 with his current term to expire in 2017.

Clearly an infringement, vis-a-vis the 2A... but a great burden as well, since CC permit presupposes the purpose of weaponry is personal protection, hunting and target practice.. and ignoring its primary and intended purpose.
