Wow, Tome Knox thinks that it would be better for the guns to be destroyed than have someone who wants them buy them? Very strange. A new anti-freedom term "Rougue Buyers"?

The gooberment will not be happy that someone is getting in between them and the fearful widows they are trying to defraud.

They still underpay these people who have no idea what their weapons are worth, added (Tom) Knox, who has attended buyback events in the St. Louis area. The hawkers then take what they bought to a gun show and sell them at a higher price.
Uhhh, Tom...these sellers are at the event, prepared to let the police give them a gift certificate worth between $50 and $200 for their gun. If they get more than that from a door hawker, they have realized a net advantage compared to selling it to the city.
Why didn't that occur to you, Mr. Knox? Seems like it should have.

“...bought several valuable guns that would have otherwise been destroyed, including what is believed to be an antique flintlock pistol.”
Do flintlock pistol purchases require an FFL transfer and background check? Or does their manufacture precede that law? Just wondering.

If you look at the top of the box of buyback guns at the article link, you will see what looks like an Anschutz Exemplar. That is a $400-600 single shot bolt action target pistol and one of the most accurate handguns in the world. Mine will shoot well under half inch groups at 50 yards. I sure hope someone rescued that fine firearm before they destroyed it.
