The big-government/big-corporate criminal complex doesn't like competition.
They don't care if the pie gets smaller, they just want the whole pie.
As a matter of fact a smaller pie is better because it means the peasants will be starved out, leaving the ruling class to live in a Walden paradise.
It won’t end small business, but it will end hiring at small businesses. Owners will innovate (read “The Obsolete Employee”) and run things themselves and likely run it as a family operation. No more hiring ‘outsiders’ and no more hiring (sometimes) even family members.
This is why jobs go overseas and often don’t come back; the Chinese (as far as I know) don’t put half the hassle against businesses like our supposedly freedom loving government does.
