Little League Coach Sues Player for $500k for Accidentally Hitting Him With Helmet
14-year-old Little League player is being sued for more than $500,000 by a former coach who claims he was injured when the boy threw his helmet in the air after scoring a game-winning run.
The coach, Alan Beck, is looking to recoup lost wages, medical bills, and of course, pain and suffering. Beck alleges that the helmet the boy threw ended up striking him in the ankle, severing his achilles tendon. Becks attorney conceded to Sacramentos KCRA-3 that the boy did not intend to hurt anyone, but holds that what he did crossed the line.

Woos.
This coach seems like a real douchebag.
When did they start using razor-billed helmet in little league?
Maybe he should seriously consider wearing a helmet around all those people with bats, if you catch my drift.
Aluminum, wood or composite, hmmm, how to choose....
I know, trial and error!
Must’ve been one of those “Master Of The Flying Guillotine” helmets.
Well, this will teach that kid a lesson...
Never hit a home run, and never be proud of what you do.
Oddjob’s hat from Goldfinger?
SAD
How does that happen?
A boy throwing a helmet into the air after a winning play is like an act of God... same as a lightning strike.
People will sue for anything.
What an enormous PWE.
Sue, its what Californians due.
As Will wrote, some 400 years ago:
Sign up for insurance under obamacare, per-existing injuries are covered.
We should all thank the American Association for Justice (re-named trial lawyers association) and the Democrat Party, to the extent they are not one in the same, for making stupid-assed crap like this possible. This is a good one to show your Democrat friends and acquaintances. They probably have no idea that their party is what makes this happen.
Could have been worse.....

I know, I know, smarty pants.
Maybe the coach should have taught himhow to be a good sport.
A good winner does not jump around getting ‘in your face’ to the losers. You shake their hand and thank them for a good game.
The practical purpose being that you don’t want to pi$$ them off in case you have to play them again in the playoffs.
