Movie producer Harvey Weinstein announced for the first time on Howard Stern’s radio show that he is making a full feature drama to try to destroy the National Rifle Association.
Mr. Stern asked Mr. Weinstein on Wednesday whether he owned a gun. The Hollywood heavyweight replied that he did not and never would. “I don’t think we need guns in this country. And I hate it,” the producer said. “I think the NRA is a disaster area.”
Mr. Weinstein then revealed his secret project about the gun rights group. “I shouldn’t say this, but I’ll tell it to you, Howard,” he said. “I’m going to make a movie with Meryl Streep, and we’re going to take this head-on. And they’re going to wish they weren’t alive after I’m done with them.” The shock jock asked whether the film was going to be a documentary. Mr. Weinstein said no, that it would be a “big movie like a ‘Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.’”
The movie mogul said his vision was to scare people away from firearms. He foresees moviegoers to leave thinking, “Gun stocks — I don’t want to be involved in that stuff. It’s going to be like crash and burn.
The chairman of the Weinstein Co. (formerly Miramax) is one of President Obama’s biggest fundraisers. He brought in more than $500,000 from his Hollywood friends for the president’s re-election campaign and the Democratic National Committee in 2012.

I went to school with a lot of the kids of Hollywood. Why did their famous, rich parents put them in my school, and not the public one? Because they felt their kids would be safer.
Why were their kids safer?

Rambo, Kill bill1, Kill bill 2, Kill Bill 3, Inglorious basterds, Django unchained, Pulp fiction, in other words some of the most violent movies ever made.
I really feel sorry for all those people who lost their guns and now ammunition in an ill fated voyage in a rowboat across a lake .....

I saw a TV show this morning which was just about as far out as one could get on gun control. The show was Hawaii 5-0.
Someone was shipping a few .25 automatic “Saturday Night Specials” into Hawaii. Of course McGarret thought he had all guns under his control
The part that was so overplayed that it was funny, is that each of these ordinary people, as soon as they got ahold of one of these guns, they turned into something like Mr. Hyde. They had been Dr. Jekylls before the gun touched them and like some magic elixir the mere holding of the gun turned them back into Mr. Hyde.
I think that show had to be the worst and most dishonest pro gun control show ever.
The idea that a postman, finds a SNS in his collection box, then his lighting changes to harsh below his face pointing up to his face and making him look evil. This just from picking up one of those evil guns.
This kind of crap has been going on at least 60 years of course not just about guns but all liberal campaigns.
The issue is these people do not understand how much of a mistake taking on guns in this would be.

Up to now, Weinstein pretty much made his bones in the entertainment business by trashing Christianity and Christian institutions in his films. Looks like he’s now expanding his pogroms to include gun owners too.
Go right ahead. Every single movie over the last several years that was made in an attempt to send a leftist political statement has bombed, Maybe it’s a good time to short Weinstein’s little movie company.
