Oh, Moosie! I was talking about rhyming Cockney slang.
My late father-in-law used it a lot. Here are just a few of them.

Trouble and strife = wife
Pen and ink = stink
Plates of meat = feet
Pig’s ear = beer
Butcher’s hook = look

To use the slang, you replace the word like “wife” with the first word of the rhyming phrase.

Examples:
“I have to get home to me Trouble”
“Oh! Me achin’ Plates!”
“I’m off to the pub for a Pigs.”
“Let’s have a Butcher’s”
“What’s making that terrible Pen?”
