Oh, Moosie! I was talking about rhyming Cockney slang.
My late father-in-law used it a lot. Here are just a few of them.

Trouble and strife = wife
Pen and ink = stink
Plates of meat = feet
Pig’s ear = beer
Butcher’s hook = look

To use the slang, you replace the word like “wife” with the first word of the rhyming phrase.

Examples:
“I have to get home to me Trouble”
“Oh! Me achin’ Plates!”
“I’m off to the pub for a Pigs.”
“Let’s have a Butcher’s”
“What’s making that terrible Pen?”

That’s the stuff!
Still in use occasionally today.
Just with one or two adaptations.

Reading the bottom half of your reply was like listening to my Dad in full flow. :)
“Giss a butcher’s”
“Ahhh gertcha! Sling yer hook!”
“Me ol’ China,,”,&c &c

‘Of course ,it is far to refined on here (FR) for any of that nonsense....’*Mrs Bucket*. LOL :D
