College tuition has gone up 60 percent in the last decade, but some enterprising coeds are finding financial aid in a creative way by landing a sugar daddy to the pay the bills. And students at Texas State University in San Marcos are right up there with the best of them.
Dating (and we use that term loosely) site SeekingArrangement.com recently examined the fastest growing sugar baby schools in the country, and Texas State came in at No. 10.
The average Texas student graduates with more than $24,000 in student debt, so the average $3,000 per month that a college sugar baby receives from her benefactor can go a long way to ensuring she comes out owing significantly less.
But Texas State students arent the only ones thinking creatively. The University of North Texas was No. 24 on the list, and the University of Texas at Austin ranked No. 30. UT Arlington and the University of Houston both registered in the top 75, as well. Nice job, Texas.

This probably wouldn’t be news in NY.
Marvin Zindler - Eyewitness News.
This is not a real article but a “PR” planted article by the company seekingarrangement.com.
It may be true that a few coeds have sugar daddies but the $ amounts and rankings are all just made up garbage. It is only to drive traffic to their site.
Ashleymadison.com and most of the dating websites are pros at this technique.
Every now and then the curtain is cracked open for a moment and the press will cover someone who is paid to create hundreds of profiles for these sites, just to keep the paying customers coming back.
No surprise there. For a short while I was in ROTC and in the color-guard. Raised the flag before each football game. We would raise the flag and by the time we walked off at the other end the other team had a TD, no matter who kicked-off.
I enjoyed SWT, from the academics to the ladies. Best time.
For a time I was in the alumni association. Name change was in the works. Received mass email from SWT president. In the email he wrote that when the search committee contacted him he said he thought: “who the heck are these guys” and he said a name change would raise the school’s profile and reputation. I quit the alumni association that day.
You’re probably right about that. Culturmap is not exactly at top-tier news agency — kind of like Examiner an Patch, but with fewer pop-up ads.
Indeed, but they didn’t used to be so blatant about it, did they?
I went to NYU. When I went there in the 70’s the girls gave it away.
Yea, I’ve been in the marketing/advertising/pr/communications game for quite a while now. For some big players and some unusual ones as well.
Big journalism is, for the most part, an illusion. It is all just PR releases from businesses, the ethical and the unethical. Doesn’t matter.
I could go into specifics but you’d just shake your head and say “nothing is real anymore.” And you’d be right.
LOL! Bumping Lowbridge for that!
Same here and I’m only thirty.
The future wives and mothers of America.
I get what you’re saying, but they’ve just never had the channels (i.e., modern technology) to do so. It’s never been so out in the open, but it’s always existed.
There is the old say that goes...
‘If it has wheels or a skirt it’s gonna cost ya!’
This applies to johns, boyfriends, sugar daddies, and husbands.
If I were single today I’d get on an airplane and fly over a large ocean to go find a wife.
Like Tom Leykis says...
Hit it, hit it, hit it, quit it!
FYI - Texas State is a “teachers college”.

Not to my knowledge. ...My nephew earned his BBA there and then his MBA at UT-Houston.
This isn’t something that is entirely new; there’s a past sort of system called ‘placage’ and in it, the ‘placee’ was the one who acquired a ‘protector’ and the ‘protector’ paid for everything. Thing is, that it lasted only so long as the ‘protector’ wanted it to and I wonder if these young women have any idea just what they’re doing to themselves in the long term.
Their male peers aren’t stupid and I don’t know how many young men are going to want someone who did this to themselves and how much baggage they’re creating for themselves. Any employer can look this up and find out and this could be used as potential blackmail material. I wonder how young men feel knowing about this, knowing that a hue percentage of their potential future wives and mothers of their children are doing this to themselves.
This is disgraceful since it’s not like university or college is so vital to the success of a young woman. Learning a real trade and skill is certainly something that can be done and I don’t think university is all that worth it if you decide you ‘have’ to degrade yourself like that to pay for tuition.
That has to be a good idea. I never htought I would say this, but my fellow American women seem Hades bent on destroying themselves.
Heaven help these women when their potential future husbands find out about all of this.
