Many in the black community admire a black man who has a white wife or girlfriend.

On the other hand, a black woman with a white husband or boyfriend is treated with scorn by many in the black community.

But, political statements can cancel these out. Clarence Thomas, though he has a white wife, is treated withscorn because of his being conservative.Above all, apparently we need to make political statements. Liberals believe that black conservaties are somehow traitors to the race.

It's really hard to make a generalization like that stick. While there are some Black men who feel that way, I don't get the feeling that it's the majority opinion in the Black community -- half of whom are women after all.

Obama with a White wife wouldn't be as popular among African-Americans as he is. And Jay-Z (or whatever he calls himself) wouldn't be more popular or well thought of if he had married a White woman. Things are indeed harder on Black women who marry out, though.

Because “race” is no longer about skin color, and now is everything about culture.

All the black athletes have the white women so what is the problem.
