The principal — Marcella Sills, who joined PS 106 nine years ago — is a frequent no-show, sources say.
Sills did not come to school last Monday. On Tuesday, she showed up at 3:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, The Post found her at home in Westbury, LI, all day before emerging at 2:50 p.m. — school dismissal time. Wearing a fur coat, she took her BMW for a spin. She showed up at school Thursday, but not Friday.

With this new mayor she’ll probably be superintendent of the whole district before the Easter Bunny gets here.
And she's likely the low person on the totem pole in the district when it comes to principals.
We need to end this, we need to end lifetime benefits; all government salaries should be a flat salary, they can buy whatever benefits they choose as it would be contrary to the budget making authority of new administrations to saddle them with the poor decisions of before. Not to mention previous budgets shouldn't determine future budgets.
Because it doesn't matter if it is a Bush in the White House, a Clinton or even Obama, the same thing continues to happen: public employees are stealing more and more every day.
The important thing here is that the principal is an oppressed minority, so at least the school has diversity and tolerance. We wouldn’t want an evil white man running it, now would we?
Don’t worry, the Communist mayor will fix it.

I suspect she is getting kick-backs from school vendors. $128K doesn’t buy the lifestyle she is living. That or she is dealing drugs.

This may very well be the worst “education” situation that I have ever read in my life.

In a way, you're very correct. Even if it turned out that this principal was breaking district policies, it is very unlikely that she could be summarily fired. No, to protect themselves from getting caught in their own schemes, public employees have a rigorous review system which can take months, if not years, to conclude all appeals. Meanwhile, the public employee continues to get salary, benefits, vacation time, sick time, even if their 'job' consists of showing up daily to sit at a table reading a book while the process continues.
Because this is what is happening across the country while districts review the impact of criminal charges against teachers who molested students, hit students, etc.
Most religions teach that the retribution against evil occurs immediately, that punishments are dealt out at the time of the crime, not years or decades later. 'Why do I need to bother going to church? I can just live until my death bed and summon a priest to hear my confession and absolve me of sins.' That thought certainly predates modern times.
Mayor DeWilhelm will take care of it. A promotion is in order.
