Toured the Carl Vinson about 12 years back. It was one of the best and proudest days of my life.

I toured the Vinson in 1995, with a Navy Master Chief, in Alameda, CA. It was awesome. This Navy chief, was responsible for all electronic maintenance on the carrier. He pointed out a white dome, and told me they made sure that one worked all the time. It was their satellite TV antenna.
