Just wondering how all the bourbon afficionados here rate Wild Turkey?
81 - Undrinkable
101 - Very good “everyday” bourbon.
Russell’s Reserve - A step above 101
Rare Breed - Truly wonderful. Tied for my personal all-time favorite bourbon (with Knob Creek).
Kentucky Spirit - Outstanding High-End bourbon with very high alcohol content - perhaps best left to the professionals
That’s my opinion of their major brands.
PS - I’m still disappointed beyond description that Wild Turkey have discontinued their 101 proof Rye Whiskey.
Wild Turkey is a good bourbon. The proliferation of new brands and special editions though now offers numerous choices that are often superior to their main label counterparts and to long-established brands.
I usually check here first and then test/taste myself.

Everyones palette is different. I have about Six that I enjoy, for different reasons.
Basil Hayden and Pappy Van Winkle. If I every hit the lottery I want a couple of bottles of 23 Y/O Pappy.

Wild Turkey is real deal. Might not be everyon’s cuppa, but it is authentic.
