Network news viewers are declining in unprecedented rates, from an average of 48 million nightly network news viewers in 1985 to 24.5 million in 2013, according to Pew Research analysis of Nielsen Media Research data.
Young people aged 18-29 are the least likely to watch network news regularly (only 11 percent did so in 2012), and 49 percent of people in this age group say they never watch the news.

I have not watched network news since Election Night 2000. Same with CNN excepting the Gabby Gifford shooting when they had better reporting than did Fox News. Barely watch any Fox News either these days.
I want to know what is happening not some 20 something producer’s interpretation of what’s happening delivered through the mouth of some idiot.
I find my news elsewhere, which does take some effort.
You win, you said it much better. :)
Unfortunately, the DNC has moved on to the entertainment industry to provide their propaganda.
“I tried to remember, back when I had tv, the last network newscast I watched...I can’t be sure. I think it was in the previous century.”
Me too. If fact way in the last Century.
I’m no fan of $arah Palin,
but when I hear someone repeating that line
as if she’d said it
then I know I’m dealing with a mushhead.
/”mushhead” = worshipper of Oh!Bama!
//Tina Fey was damned funny in that role, nonetheless

political opponent was to get people to laugh at them

Just saying. Even on Snopes, it says Palin didn’t say it.
She said it was possible to see Russia from Alaska. That is possible.
Tina Fey said she could see Russia from her house.
I haven’t seen a 6 PM national broadcast since 9/11. It’s either by accident when someone just changes the channel without my knowing etc but I never do.
Gosh, could it be due to the fact that they’re dispensing LEFTIST BULLSHIT has become obvious to even the skulls full of mush??
I’m not holding my breath but there MIGHT yet be hope!
“I never watch any TV news any more”
I NEVER WATCH PROPAGANDA ANYMORE
I’ve been saying it for some time...every time they carry a body bag out of a nursing home; newspapers lose another subscriber, and network news loses another viewer. Those viewers are NOT being replaced.
I can’t remember the last time I saw network news. Who gets their news from that crap anymore?
The Flag behind her should either have swastika or a Hammer and sickle.
I thought this was a John Semmens post...
“seven in 10 (53 percent) could not identify the picture of Brian Williams”
Seven out of ten is 53% according to the article.
This is part of a long term trend. I don’t know why any intelligent person would waste their time watching the MSM news. I suspect the older people the call viewers just have it on in the background while the are taking a nap. The MSM news certainly is sleep inducing.
That graphic is old.
Faux joined them long ago.
Good. It’s all crap. “News Entertainment” killed news reporting.
Young Americans under 30 are becoming semi-literate but also have abandoned ‘traditional’ nightly news shows. The propaganda and stale ‘news’ TV offers is being rejected by the majority of Americans. They are even losing the over-65 demographic, likely to attrition. This is good but the success of ‘comedy’ propaganda shows like that of Jon Stewart is taking their place. Meanwhile, the erosion of literacy in America as well as the jumble of opinions and lies on the internet aren’t giving young people a valid source for actual ‘news’. Sure, conservatives and liberals have their own sites but objective reporting is hard to find. Everybody has an ‘angle’. It can get discouraging and apparently many under-30’s are simply opting out.
The old people are dying off it is habit with older people..
