Liberals don’t care about the children. They are a prop to be used or aborted.

Why not go for the gold? Where I live the taxpayers were charged $197 million for a high school.

Common Core isn't about education, it's about indoctrination...just like modern day "entertainment".

“but the teachers get paid handsomely and the 45 year old retired teachers are collecting their handsome retirement benefits as they sit sunning on the beaches of Miami”
And voting to ruin Florida just like they did when they lived in New York and stole their pay from the children!
BTW the “District Superintendent” in this story (Michelle Lloyd-Bey) is also Amish and was promoted from being “principal” of PS 106 to her current “position.”

This was some story! I can’t believe the woman just doesn’t go to work, and she still gets paid!

Teachers’ unions say they are underpaid and the schools need more money! They care about the kids, right?

Better check your facts before you go firing off your mouth, Chipster. No 45 year old teacher in the NYC public school system can possibly have enough years in for a pension. Moreover, anyone of that age would only collect a portion of their former earnings as a teacher, and "handsome" would be about the opposite of how I'd describe those funds. In NYC, principals and teachers are in totally different unions. Principals can do just about anything under the sun and not get fired. So why are you bringing up teachers when this is a case of total dereliction of duties by a PRINCIPAL?
It was the teachers in the school who dimed her. Notice in the article that allegations against this piece of garbage principal are from "a source"? That is because "a source" doesn't want to be targeted for harassment as retaliation by this sorry excuse for a principal.

To: savedbygrace
Yeppers, that verified it.
You’d think the teachers would kick in and do what they’re paid to do. You’d also think the parents would be at the school all day every day to make sure their kids were learning. But the the parents probably can’t get their noses out of the their obama phones and spending their EBTs to notice.

No, you didn’t hit a nerve. You missed what the truth is by a long shot, too. If you’re NOT in the NYC school system, you’re an outsider looking in. I gave here the true facts. You’re just spouting some generic one-size-fits-all anti-union crap without checking to which union the perp belongs.
