Jeb Bush is best presidential candidate for GOP in 2016
Clearwater Gazette ^ | 1/9/13 | Barney Bishop

As the political winds are turning to presidential politics in 2016, now is the time for Republicans to start thinking about their ticket. I know it's early, but the top of the Democratic ticket has already been pretty much decided by the mainstream media. It's Hillary and whoever she wants as her veep.

For the Republicans, they will need someone at the top of the ticket who is principled. He'll keep his campaign promises. He must have an economic issue that will resonate with women because men already support the GOP. Women — especially independent women — are the holy grail of a winning national campaign.

In my opinion, it can't be someone from the far right, the Tea Party.

-snip-

That means Jeb Bush as the presidential nominee and either Scott Walker or Chris Christie as the vice-presidential candidate.

Many will say there is Bush fatigue. Many will say that Christie is not conservative enough. But Christie can attract Northeastern Republicans and Democrats — voters the GOP will need in 2016.

He is the best candidate for Hilary and the rats but not for republicans. I haven't sat out an election since I was in my early 20’s but I would sit out the coming election if Jeb is nominated.

Stay out of the da Bushes”

There, fixed it.

BTW, for once I agree with Jesse Jerkson. We have a nation of 310 million or so citizens - surely we can find someone to be President who will do a bang-up job and, simultaneously, not possess any of Prescott Bush's DNA.

As for Governor Krispy Kreme, as they say in the Peoples Demokratisher Republik of Neu Joisey, "FUHGEDDDDDDDDABOUDIT!" He'd be a fine Secretary of Labor, or a Director of OMB, but NO WAY, NO HOW as President or within a single hearbeat thereof. He is simply not Presidential timber, and he will LOSE VOTES for the Republicans in the South and West - I guarantee it, even if Ted Cruz or Sarah Palin was at the top of the ticket. Oh, and after that debacle with O'Communist right after Sandy, and refusing to endorse or appear with Romney, he deserves NOTHING from Republicans nationwide.

PHUK the moderates - they've lost twice in a row to a Communist stooge because they don't believe in, and cannot articulate, any semblence of an argument to convince people to vote FOR them and their ideas, only to vote against someone supposedly worse. ENOUGH! Nominate a REAL Repulican for the first time in 32 years!

Ditto!. The first Bush gave us 8 years of Clinton and the second Bush gave us 8 years of Obama. Speak about that wrecking ball! I’d vote Miley Cyrus.

Yeah, but suppose the people's candidate THIS time is NOT a paranoid dwarf with no political skills or experience?

A paranoid dwarf who, as it turned out, was 100% correct in his prediction of a "giant flushing sound" of American jobs going overseas.

While he MIGHT have been a darling to Florida and national conservatives, Jeb Bush is married to a native of Mexico (Columbo is the daughter of a migrant worker). And before you scream “ethnocentric bigot” at me, there’s nothing inherently wrong with that. Love knows no bounds.

But that fact DOES predispose him to a warm and fuzzy feeling for folks from south of the Rio Grande.

And if — in some strange and metastasizing American desire to return to a royal family dynasty — Jeb or his son should win the White House in some future presidential beauty contest designed to divert the American electorate every four years, I’d bet that HIS activities toward this alien invasion will make W’s behavior look like a warm-up exercise.

Between the invasion from the south and the Muslim invasion, any vestige of European culture — the culture MY great-grandparents and probably yours brought here after standing in line at places like Ellis Island, being interrogated, deloused and recorded — will be a distant memory – IF it’s remembered at all.

Bracing for FLAMES from the Bush people in here.

I don’t know how the undecideds will swing, but there is NO WAY Jeb or Krispy will ever get my vote.

Bush? Good guy...too much baggage.

Bush is a statist. The Bush family truly believes that ALL solutions to problems is an all powerful State -- see the ACA, Medicare Part-D, TARP, etc.

Bush is not at all a good guy. His smile belies his evil core.

All Statists are by definition EVIL.

If they're serious , and Jebbers is the GOP nominee , than I'll honestly say that for the first time since I started voting in 1980, I will sit out the election

Screw it, let Hillary have the country, it's over anyway
