This doesn't even make sense. How can fedgov recognize what doesn't exist? There is no federal homosexual marriage law. What does this mean as far as taxes and benefits...and if the law is permanently struck down, what then?

States that make marijuana legal do so in violation of fedgov law. No consequences.

States that make homo marriage illegal do so based on their own sovereignty since they issue the marriage licenses. The fedgov steps in and says they can’t do that.
