Former Republican U.S. Senator Dick Lugar (R-IN) has donated $5,000 to the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in Georgia.
Are you surprised?
You shouldn't be. There's a pattern of liberal Republicans abandoning the Party. •Arlen Specter switched parties when he was challenged in a primary by Pat Toomey (R-PA).
•Charlie Crist left the Party to run as an Independent when he was challenged in a primary by Marco Rubio (R-FL). Crist later endorsed Barack Obama and is now running for Governor in Florida as a Democrat.
•Lisa Murkowski abandoned the Party to run as a write-in candidate after she lost the primary to Joe Miller (R-AK) in 2010.
•Dick Lugar refused to support Richard Mourdock (R-IN) after he lost his primary in 2012. Now Lugar is openly backing a Democrat in Georgia who could cost Republicans the majority in the Senate this year. PRIMARIES MATTER
The Republican establishment accuses us of being anti-Republican when we try to replace incumbents with true conservatives, but our candidates actually believe in the Party's platform and they don't leave it when they lose an election.
The establishment only cares about the Republican Party to the extent that it gives them power. Once it no longer serves that purpose, they take their marbles and go home. Their ideology is power.
The establishment keeps telling us to just elect more Republicans, but what good is that if the Republicans we elect don't share our values?
Republicans have a majority in the U.S. House of Representatives today, but they have helped the Democrats raise taxes, increase the debt limit, and pass full funding for Obamacare. And now they are planning to pass a bloated farm bill and amnesty for illegal immigrants.

Yup. They have the same goals and are being smoked out and they don’t like it. As usual, all hellfire comes out against conservatives but gentle taps for democrats. They all protect each other.
There is ONE PARTY with at least two distinct wings. Other subsets include the Marxists, Socialists, Luddites etc. None of them are American Ideal oriented.
So then; not all republicans are republicans..
The question becomes; IS YOUR republican rep. a republican?..
IF you don’t know then YOU ARE NOT a republican.. yourself..
We DO NOT NEED a third party...
What we need is a SECOND PARTY..
Lesson for Conservatives voting for a republican who votes with democrats is pointless. Having a Republican majority is useless if the leaders votes support democrats.

Is he endorsing her because her father was a good man to Lugar?

I was posting that well over a year ago. We haven’t had two parties in a long time.
