And yet Christie is still breathing with all those clogged arteries.

Christie has shown himself this past year to be an egotistical, out of control, morally bankrupt fool. It’s time he devolves into nothing more than a footnote of history.

The GOP-e and Dims must have come up with a better patsy to run against Hillary and lose.

Christie is blaming an aide who he fired. The problem for Christie is that he did not surround himself with silence to the death Sicilians. The Democrats control the state senate and will hold hearings. This woman will have to testify under oath and does not look even remotely Sicilian.

Still doing better than Obama. Even after fast and furious and Benghazi he hasn’t fired anyone.

I watched a feature on Uncle Teddy K not too long ago and among the footage shown was a woman who greeted him during a campaign (1980?) bid by saying “You’re just as handsome as your brothers.” Now only if Christie was cuter.

Apparently, the ambulance got there in 7 minutes.

Perhaps the fact that she was 91 years old was more of a factor in her untimely demise.

Not to defend this pie eating slob but the Mary Jo Kopechne comparison is ridiculous

"an unconscious 91-year-old woman"

Be a better Mary Jo analogue if the governor had the old lady drunk in the back seat, committed adultery with her, plunged his Oldsmobile into the Hudson, swam to Manhattan and then lied about it.

Other than that, pretty good fit.

Based on how he’s handled this crisis to date, it may really turn out to be Christie’s bridge to nowhere

If the woman’s family, looking for a big payday, decides to sue citing the alleged delays as the “but for,” this could get quite interesting.

Not the first time Krispy has let crony politics endanger public safety.

During the power outage, Southern electricians were sent up to help bring it back on-line, and were sent home for not being Union. Viciously.

This is two instances of disregard for public safety, I’m sure there are many more we haven’t dug up yet.

There needs to be some serious jail time for anyone found culpable of this. It’s no different than vandals taking down a stop sign at a busy intersection. And I don’t believe for a minute that Christie wouldn’t have known, given the seriousness of the closings and the immediacy of communications nowadays.

I am NOT a Christie supporter nor a fan. However, I am fairly disgusted at the rush to judge his involvement in this traffic mess.

Can I call BS on this story?

The woman was 91 and "unconscious?" How do we know that she wasn't already dead, but must be labeled as "unconscious" until examined by an authority?

If an elderly woman lost her life in the midst of this, it is a tragedy. If the traffic situation contributed to her death, it’s a crime.

What bothers me is that Christie approved of this little “pay-back” (I don’t believe a word of “it was a rogue aide” crappola) and was derelict in his duty as a Governor.

I have been a luke-warm Christie supporter in the past; he was something a little different, but this fiasco shows he’s just more of the same. He deserves to roast for this big time, as per my second point.

My take on this is the bigger picture. Anyone who has dealt with politicians and their staffs is not surprised one bit by the disgusting arrogant attitude. This is exactly why you don’t want government in your life, with a bunch of petty sob’s running your healthcare and everything else.

I have met some of the biggest a-holes ever in politics, people who are blood curdling insensitive and proud of it.
