Well, I guess Christie needs to switch to Democrat and all will be forgotten?

IIRC, in the run-up to the 2006 elections, the media found a lot of Republican "scandals" involving people who were not (necessarily) running for office. But it created a period of a year or so in which the entire country could think "those Republicans are stupid/corrupt/mean/incompetent". When the 2006 elections actually came, the ground was set for big Democrat victories in many locations.

2014 ought to be shaping up as a bad year for Democrats. So, obviously, it's time to start rolling out a long list of bad news events for various Republicans. Set the stage. Try to recover 2014 for the Democrats. The media is on the case.

“The comments section is closed.”

Freaking NY Slimes has gone and closed their comment section on the article. Drudge links, comments closed. That seems to be the trend these days.

Buncha liberal weenie cowards! They should re-open that comments sections so they can be schooled on what a RINO is...

If this scandal removes Christie from the choice of the uninformed Republican primary voters, then they will surely turn to Jebbie waiting in the wings.

IMO, there is no way Christie did not know about this! He was involved from the get-go. Absolutely!
He needs to resign immediately. He is finished and deservedly so!
I dislike him and his bullying ways.

Well whaddaya know? No one is madder about this than Chris Christie! He just found out about it and is furious! (That sounds awfully familiar.)

As contemptible as this whole situation is, I would much rather spend an hour stuck in traffic on the George Washington Bridge than be audited by the IRS. If we’re going to start blaming chief executives for the crimes of those working under them then we must take another look at what the IRS has been up to lately and who is ultimately responsible for that.

This fat dim-o-drone has a vast history of revenge and anger at those that oppose him. He is a pos progressive and his love affair with obama and his helping to throw the election in 2012 are proof that it was payback for being passed over at the convention... which BTW was the worst republican convention in my lifetime. Clint was the only thing that allowed me to watch it.

Not defending Christie, but where was the press when Obama paid workers to close a lane near Mount Rushmore and generally cause as much pain as possible during the partial shutdown?

Hillary’s army - vicious, petty, stupid, cruel and vindictive.

And also treacherous - hey Christie, you know she set you up, right?

This is a non-story, to keep insinuations of a misbehaving Republican in the news as a smokescreen for the unfolding disaster that is now this country. It will never touch Christie, who had no need for such petty BS.

Christie isn’t very conservative and I hope he does not win the GOP nomination. I am sure most on this forum prefer Cruz, Paul, Walker, etc....as do I. That being said, he is the best governor my state has ever had and is not capable of doing something so stupid and petty. I know him and he would not do something like this. First, he is too smart. Second, he was cruising to re- election and wouldn’t pull a Watergate type blunder. Lastly, creating havoc on purpose just isn’t in him.

I don’t like Christie but I’d rather be stuck in a traffic jam than have a dagger shoved up my butt and kill me because my own leadership didn’t care about my safety in a dangerous, foreign country.

To me the greater damage is done to the Republican brand by the fact the heartless emails (”They’re Buona children”) were flying back and forth between Republicans. Karl Rove and all his cronies should be screaming about how that doesn’t represent the Republican party.

But then again,,perhaps it does now. It shouldn’t...but those emails will be used to paint every conservative as a republican and every republican as cold, calculating and heartless. Whether or not it touches Christie now, it WILL if he does not fire the people involved.

The stupid cruelty and arrogance of those punks shutting down traffic for purposes of retaliation should be completely rejected by the party elite. I am not holding my breath on it.

Normally I’d be screaming about the double standard (bridge lane closed vs Benghazi, IRS, Obamacare, Fast & Furious etc). But I am loving this. The Obama-hugging RINO is done.

Hundreds if not a few thousand politically connected people in the NJ region knew McGreevey has a fag who cruised Manhattan for partyboys, yet no one in politics, the media, his social and professional circles, said anything for at least a decade after he first ran for office above that of mayor of his hometown.

As for this current mental problem displayed by the fatarse, Almost immediately, hundreds of politically connected people in the GOP and MTA knew that Gov Fatarse personally ordered this vindictive act. That’s why the NYC newspapers spent so many lines of ink with hard rumors about this. They had hard proof within 4 days of the second closing.

Christie just f’ed with the wrong people, the several hundred thousand people who commute from NJ to NYC each day who are in the top 3% income brackets, are the most powerful financial block in the country. Christie used their lives, measured in minutes times hundreds of thousands of lives, millions and millions of man hours of the wealthiest and most powerful men and women in the country, as collateral damage in a petty sociopathic act of sabotage against New Jersey’s breadwinners.

The governor is truly f’ed.
