There’s a great 1960s Twilight Zone like this,

the Earth is headed for the Sun and it gets hotter day by day, many are fleeing North to save themselves a few months before cooking,

turns out it was all just a woman’s fever dream, the planet is really headed away from the sun and freezing, many are fleeing South to save themselves a few months before freezing into a TV dinner

If this actually did happen the best place to be would be in iceland, building domes over the geothermal vents. Eventually the atmosphere would freeze out into pools of liquid nitrogena nd oxygen on the ground. Another safe place may be deep salt mines where they would be heated by the earth’s core, not sure how to get electricity for green houses other than some sorta nuclear power.

Humanity could potentially survive this, but not that many, we would have to become a subterrain society of mole-people to survive this. If you call that surviving...

yea... Rod Serling had a way with storytelling unmatched today. Most of the stuff on TV is garbage.
