I don’t understand why the police say they don’t suspect foul play, what is it then? He doesn’t seem like the runaway type

Two things come to mind....1) Brookline is a very wealthy suburb of Boston and the Maimonides School is a very wealthy, upper crust school where the kids are well behaved and from good backgrounds (even though many of the parents are liberals).Maybe the kid was depressed.Or...maybe the outrageously cold weather...*dangerously* cold* weather...we're having is a factor.

If one of the kids from our high school “disappeared” it could only be foul play. None of the parents would go along with a teenager’s scheme. The kid’s cars and license plates are on file. This kid looks pretty innocent and hapless. Same as the kids from our high school.

One of the moms who has some association with the FBI and is a lawyer demonstrated to her daughter and mine just how easy it would be to grab them.

The cops better say what they mean, I doubt this kid is hiding out at granny’s. The only other thing I can think of is his parents are splitting up and one of them took off with him.
