Plenty of laws passed by Congress have been overturned if the Leftists on the Supreme Court disapprove of them. The most recent: The Defense of Marriage Act.

As you know, there was genuine bipartisan support for DOMA. It was signed into law by a Democratic President.
There was no bipartisanship when it came to Obamacare.
