Charlie Rose Wonders If Extreme Cold Snap 'Definitely Connected to Global Warming'

On Monday's CBS This Morning, Charlie Rose predictably placed the blame for the unusually cold weather in North America on climate change. Rose wondered, "Is it definitely connected to global warming?"

Also, if we stop “global warming” the winters will get so hot that the polar ice caps will melt. We’ll all drown!

Human activities contribute slightly to greenhouse gas concentrations through farming, manufacturing, power generation, and transportation. However, these emissions are so dwarfed in comparison to emissions from natural sources we can do nothing about... No, the net emission by from human sources dwarf the net emission from natural sources. You cannot compare total fluxes only net. Why? Humans only create CO2. Plants and oceans capture and release lots but don't have much net affect.

Hey Charlie, it is not due to global warming or climate change.
It is due to WEATHER CHANGE.
Sometimes weather change happens more than once an hour.
Try to go outside a little more, Charlie.

This conclusion has a simple physical explanation: when the infrared radiation is absorbed by the molecules of greenhouse gases, its energy is transformed into thermal expansion of air, which causes convective fluxes of air masses restoring the adiabatic distribution of temperature in the troposphere Basically one problem with that claim. The thermal change in the bulk atmosphere means CO2 radiates more (in all directions). The downward radiation from the CO2 raises the effective atmospheric thickness and is not compensated by any adiabatic changes.

If you really pin them with questions as to why weather does what it does they really don’t have any answers.

Maybe, just maybe, we’re beginning to see the dying gasps of the liberal media. Even the ‘low information’ masses can see when the media can’t even report the WEATHER without bias.

No, the net emission by from human sources dwarf the net emission from natural sources. BS. Between about 75-95% of the greenhouse effect on Earth is due to water vapor and clouds. And water vapor is almost entirely of natural origin, something like 99.99% of it.

He wonders? If it's cold, the climate must be warming.
And we have always been at war with EastAsia.

Between about 75-95% of the greenhouse effect on Earth is due to water vapor and clouds. And water vapor is almost entirely of natural origin, something like 99.99% of it. No argument with that. The question is whether CO2 warms (yes), increasing it warms more (yes, but only logarithmically) and whether the extra CO2 in the atmosphere is manmade (yes). Manmade water vapor is negligible and water vapor is regulated by weather so under solar and ocean cycle control, not controlled by CO2 or CO2 warming.
