We’re all born equal. What you choose to do with that equality is up to you.

The only thing worse than inequality is the result of what government does to fix it.

Inequality isn’t even the problem. Poverty isn’t the problem. The culture of dependency is the problem, sustained by the fact that it is human nature to lose one’s dignity when accepting something for nothing.

So...is Obama and Oprah going to be donating their entire income to the public treasury chest anytime soon...and pay back all those expensive vacations he has taken over the years...at this point, anything that comes out of the “lil fuhrer’s” mouth no one is believing anymore...so keep talking and playing make believe - Obama!

The Democrats couldn’t care less about the economic realities behind their “Income Inequality” movement.

It’s obvious that this concept tests well in their focus groups, particularly as a way to deflect rage over the Obamacare fiasco back towards the “1%”.

Hopefully the low information voters that are easily misled will also think no further than the fact that Obama has been president for 5 years now and things are only worse. The Dems have to lay this at the Republicans’ feet, and the Repubs have to ensure that they can’t...

What they never say is that they want to TAX THE WEALTH OF THOSE TOP 400!!! This is because those top 400 pay the dims and the republicans to keep all working Americans ennslaved to the state. TAKE HALF OF ALL THAT GATES, BUFFETT AND SOROS HAVE... WIPE OUT HALF OF THE KENNEDY EMPIRE... and stop crushing the middle class... it will never happen because reich and those communists like him are part of the elite and the elite get to keep their wealth and power and we serfs get to slave for the king and his court. FU robert reich!

The Party of Envy.

If someone could wave a magic wand and remove envy from the face of the earth, the democrats would never win another election because the entire basis of their ideology would be gone.

The Republicans have to get out the vote in 2014. I’m convinced it’s our last chance to at least slow down the impending crash. Every single citizen who produces more than they take from the government has to be persuaded to take a few minutes off of work and vote for their own interests. The Democrats suck at governing, but they are masters of messaging and getting people to vote.

Genuine equality––the equality of all under the law, and the equality of opportunity––will not satisfy the radical egalitarian. He must have equality of result, and since the most obvious and galling sign of inequality is that of property and wealth, he will then demand redistribution of property to move closer to that aim.

No. He must maintain the inequality of result, with which to continue justifying a fat salary for his services redistributing said property.

The Elites have always funded Communists. The Communists are a tool of the Elite much like Al Qaeda is today, used to destabilize and remake whole societies and put nations under the boot.

If there is so much inequality, ask yourself why the crooked bastards are not sharing THEIR wealth with the under-funded, do noting “takers”? Practice what you preach.

How about Harry Belafonte (a.k.a. "BooBoo").

Net worth $28 million.

Mama, look at BooBoo

I guess that’s why the Hunger Games is looked to as something of the near future...with the elites at the top dumping on the rest of us by forcing competition games until alot of us die to keep the rest in check...

It’s nice to have them up there thinking so much of themselves...why I don’t watch the BIG O or listen to BooBoo’s music...or the rest of them...

There are also societal transfers of wealth that are not counted as income for the lower earners. My secretary and I both had two sons about the same ages. She was single (divorced) and earned perhaps 40K a year. Her sons were slightly above average students. When they applied for college both of them were offered full rides at private Catholic colleges. They each accepted one offer and got a four year education including room and board free. My wife and I are both lawyers and were not eligible for financial aid based upon our income. One of our sons was a National Merit finalist and the other was slightly above average. Fortunately we had saved for years and were able to put both our sons through similar schools at a cost of about 40K each per year. It cost us 320K in after-tax savings to do this. None of my secretary’s gain nor our diminished savings appears on a tax return. Nor does it appear in any statistics cited by the income inequality lefties.
