That’s exactly what I’ve been saying from the very beginning of this thread.

I’m not so sure of that. Read through the comments for some alternative perspective that might be more indicative of his true political colors.

But Arizona is not California. Yet.

Arpaiao is about as out-there as they get in Arizona. Part of his act is, well, an act. But he’s at least taken seriously within that act - translation: when he pulls the gun, no one thinks he isn’t planning to shoot.

Seagal is engaging in another publicity stunt. In California, that would be shrugged off - everyone’s running a con game here. In Arizona, it’s more normal: they’d simply laugh at him.

McCain gets elected by pretending to be the adult in the room, and points to his medals and POW status to back that up. There’s a lot of elderly folks in Mesa and Sun City who still buy that crap. He at least comes off as “real” to them, and to the rest of Arizona, if a bit wacked.

Seagal will get no points for being real. Or even being an Arizonan - just another carpetbagger. McCain had to overcome that - “the longest I lived anywhere was Hanoi” is how he did it.

Phoenix is not Los Angeles. In fact, it’s the cultural opposite. People move there from LA to get away from the mess that the screaming, shrieking crazed Left Liberals created there. And by “people”, I mean White working class.

And a lot of midwestern transplants who REALLY don’t buy the idea of a Hollyweird actor being governor - except if he were a straighter than straight guy like Reagan.

If Seagal wants to run for Mayor of Scottsdale or Cave Creek he might get somewhere. For Governor, Arizona will break for some straight arrow type - possibly a woman since they have done that 3 times now in the last 30 years.

But there’s only one I can think of...she lives part of the year in Scottsdale...and I think she plans on being a Senator...from a state that starts with an “A”. One of them...

LOL. Sorry? Ha ha! Obviously, it’s cynicism taken to a whole new level beyond that of Fudgepacker One.

He is a Libertarian, I believe. He and Sheriff Joe both are. He is pretty close with the Sheriff.

some...no many on this list are not even moderate...just flaming libs. flawed list.

Kevin Costner
Since 1992, Costner has financially supported a variety of Democratic Party politicians, including Al Gore and Tom Daschle, but also made contributions to the Republican Party's Phil Gramm as late as 1995.[38] He said publicly in 2008 that he has no ambition to run for political office, adding “I've lived quite a colorful life.”[39]

In the final days before the 2008 election, Costner campaigned for Barack Obama, visiting various places in Colorado—a state in which he has a home. In his speech, Costner stated the need for young voters to get to the polls, early and with enthusiasm. “We were going to change the world and we haven't,” Costner said at a Colorado State University rally. “My generation didn't get it done, and we need you to help us.”[40]

Michael J Fox campaigned for Claire McCaskill

Dennis Hopper claimed to be a Republican but voted for Obama twice...

I remember when he did a national tv interview hinting he was former CIA and ‘used to to do things for the government” but he wasn’t going to “confirm nor deny that”. The guy has a serious issues and should be nowhere near any position of authority. He might just decide his lies are real and start some real trouble he can’t handle and get a lot of people hurt.

watched liberal Harrison Ford in Clear and Present Danger on the Military Channel last night. good flick.

I should read all the Clancy novels.....I only read Hunt for Red October (many years ago) and it was excellent.

ps I never was a conspiracy theorist before 2009....but I do believe Clancy was killed by the regime along with Breitbart and Loretta Fuddy ,Hawaiian director of the state health department who approved Obummers birth certificate. the only passenger among 9 who died when the Cessna she was in made a water landing and in which the plane floated for 25 minutes and she was wearing a life jacket...

but I digress.....

I enjoyed some of Clancy’s novels. Some FReepers also enjoy Brad Thor and/or Vince Flynn novels...I prefer Flynn.

I understand he was very sick for years. so I will give the regime a pass....

Sounds like you’re describing Kenau Reaves in a Matrix movie.
