CBS/Reuters January 5, 2014, 8: 26 AM Obamas birthday gift to his wife? Time off, alone
HONOLULU - President Barack Obama is going to give his wife the birthday present that many parents can only dream of - time off, alone, without the children.
The White House said on Saturday first lady Michelle Obama would stay in Hawaii, where the family has been on vacation for the last two weeks, rather than return home with her husband and their two girls.
"As part of her birthday gift from the president, the first lady will remain in Hawaii to spend time with friends ahead of her upcoming 50th birthday," a White House official said.
The president was leaving Honolulu late on Saturday after a vacation that was filled with several games of golf and dinners out. He and his children are scheduled to arrive in Washington on Sunday morning.
The Associated Press compiled a list of how President Obama spent his last day of vacation in Hawaii on Saturday:

“Sounds like trouble in paradise.”
Yeah the Claxons are blairing on this one. I don’t think this has anything to do with the time of the big waves on the North Shore of Oahu either. So, if she is planning on getting ready for her big birthday, why is she doing it in Hawaii, she is from Chicago? Hum
Hey Zero put her up in a cheep Motel wjth no aides or SS guards. Give her a C-note for food and a ticket for a commercial flight home. I bet she will be back in D.C. Monday. Hey but maybe Zero needs time away from Mooch.
“Reggie, Reggie, over here...use the back door...hurry up, no one will see you...”
More stealing from the American taxpayer.
First First Lady who isn’t a lady.
Obama is giving? Ha, taxpayers are giving her more time in Hawaii. We’re footing the bill. By the way, who pays for all of Ozero’s rounds of golf. Taxpayers need to fund the president during official duties but his golf should come out of his own pocket. I’m betting it’s either a gift or we pay.
Mooch is going to the golf coarse?
“Meanwhile, I frantically labor to obtain insurance due to his charity known as Obamacare.”

You took the words right from my fingers. I want to know just how many “friends” Mooch has in Hawaii. She didn’t grow up there and never lived there. I thought Valerie Jarret was her only friend and I’m sure she’s with Barry pulling his strings.
.....she wanted Reggie off the property.
I can not wait for the denizens of Free Republic to comment on this one. Should be like a hungry dog with a fresh ham bone.
Denizens? Interesting choice of words.
In any case you are correct in that the comments should be ‘interesting.
And maybe a separate plane trip for the dogs, as has happened in the past.
NOTHING is too good for royalty.
I can imagine the fecal atmospheric weather disturbances the media would have reported if GW Bush and Laura would have travelled in separate aircraft with the twins staying with Laura for an extra week.
The big MO shouldn’t be punished with children. It’s her birthday after all. Give her a break. /S
Shouldn’t this be Obamas present to himself? I predict Reggie’s gonna be a busy, busy body man.

My thought as well. He’s looking forward to some quality time with Reggie. Absense makes the heart grow fonder.
I love it when these two are away on vacation. I don’t see his stupid face on the TV, I don’t hear his voice on the radio. He can stay on “vacation” for the rest of his presidency for all I care.
LIKE
Were footing the bill.

These people love living large on the taxpayer’s dime.
The liberal media never says a word about it.
