This is part of the Streamlined Sales Tax Initiative intended to tax internet sales. As more states adopt the SSTI standards, pressure grows on congress to pass legislation that will authorize states to collect sales tax from out of state vendors selling on the internet.
Completely hashing the idea of jurisdiction. Businesses will be on the hook to any state that decides to go after them. Compliance costs will skyrocket.

So many things I need are not available in a local store but only are found on the web. It's not cheaper because of shipping or for not being taxed but simply it's the only place its available. Goverment is so greedy...
