We’ve had one for about a year now ... My wife loves it, she has a few cups of coffee a day; I’m lucky if I drink 2 cups a day any more, but it seems to do a good, quick job. I’m partial to the Tim Horton’s blend, fairly close to the coffee-house version.
I have a Keurig. It is sitting in its box on the shelf in our garage. I just HAD to have one but after tasting the coffee and seeing the cost (which really is my number one objection) I bought the plastic reusable cups for it. I found out it was just as easy to make 1 cup in my regular coffee maker.
I also like the taste of real coffee better than the k cups.
Agreed, expecting to be seeing a lot of them soon...in thrift stores.
We had one, gave it to daughter, cups were expensive.
We got back from Jamaica earlier this month and brought home
“Blue Mountain Jamaican Coffee” from the duty free store at airport. Love Love Love this coffee.....
There is just something about freshly ground coffee beans in a pot of coffee.....
Use your own favorite ground coffee in the insert that is included or plastic variation you can get at bed bath and beyond. paper filters for these are available too. Be creative.
I got one for my birthday and really didn’t think I’d use it. I LOVE it and use it several times a day. For ten bucks at Walmart, I picked up a 3 pack of the little cup things that fit into it that enable you to use the same coffee you use in your regular coffeemaker. A can of coffee now lasts about twice as long so it can be a money saver.
How do you roast your beans?
I pay $4.99 a pound for already roasted, Turkish coffee beans at a Middle Eastern owned market, they regularly put it on sale for $3.99.
The kind with the screen on the bottom WILL eventually burst into flame. I'm sure about that.
I roast just past the 2nd 'crack' or 'pop' sound that roasting beans make. It's a fairly dark roast. The Tres Rios bean handles it well.

Yes to the fresh grind coffee every morning! My wife and I like 8 O’clock Colombian whole beans and have also bought Colombian beans at Sam’s and that also makes a good coffee. We brew 12 cups in the morning. I can not drink any type of flavored coffee, Yuk!
I’ve had one for a year and really like it. No wasted coffee, and easy variety. Occasional clog to the top nozzle, just poke with a paperclip.
Can get Gevalia cappuchino that’s actually pretty good.
Get a good French press and a grinder.
Learn how to use it.
You will thing EVERYTHING else is swill. Really. I am a convert.

Thanks again.
We've had a commercial Keurig at the office for several years. Everyone loves it, as everyone gets a fresh brew of their favorite coffee, tea or hot chocolate.
We are kinda on a tea kick, now, and use the Keurig for hot water to brew each cup of tea (if we don't use a K-Cup of tea).
K-cups are cheapest at Costco and can be ordered (including blends they don't carry in-store) online.
Happy Keuriging!
I’ve been using this set up for 10 years. This is not my video.

Want one of these in the WORST way — local supermarket had samples of Keurig hot cider, it was The Bomb!
DH is the holdout, prefers to brew the old fashioned way (and he makes great coffee).
Got one for DD for Christmas and she said it was the best present she got.
FWIW I have one and it is a great system for me. I only drink about 7 cups a week. I run vinegar thru it from time to time.
Preferred cup is the Green Mountain “Dark Magic”. Quite bold.
50c a serving, ready in 2 minutes. The one I have costs about 120.00
