Oh, I resisted for a very long time. I cant claim to be a coffee traditionalist, really, thanks to my preference for flavored coffee. My father likes to scoff at me for that whenever he visits out here, but I like the real thing as well. I drink it straight, no cream or sweetener whether flavored or not, and I brew it in large pots, totally full, every single time. And most days I drink all of it, too.
All of that changed when my sister bought us a Keurig system for Christmas this week while visiting out here. Specifically, she bought the Keurig K65 Special Edition Gourmet Single-Cup Home-Brewing System (which in my old aerospace days would have the acronym KSEGSCHBS), along with the Keurig My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter. Within hours, I had banished my old coffeemaker to storage in part because I needed the space, but also because it had already become obsolete.

By sitting down on a hot park bench?
Me too; along with dudes taking out a pole with their pickup every now and then.
I have a generator backup for the long haul.
Our Jeep® Compass came with one built into the middle armrest.
Give ‘em a picture of the VEIW!!!
Nothing better! I understand the convenience factor and have K-cup coffee evey Saturday night at our Home Fellowship Group. But nothing beats fresh ground coffee (Eight O'Clock Dark Eyetalian Beans) brewed in a Chemex.
BINGO!
(If ya let the coffee get cold, THEN can a Mormon drink it?)
My palate can't discriminate between something Juan Valdez picked or the stuff that passes thru an elephants digestive system.
Over a hundred posts and no one has mentioned whether these various cups - Keurig, Nespresso, etc. are interchangeable between units.
Have never used one of these single cuppers so was just wondering.
No they are not interchangeable. The K-Cup is the most widely used and hence the most available and I think some other brands like the Mr. Coffee version of the Keurig uses the K-Cups.
I bought myself a Keurig Vue. I really like it, I bought it because it had settings for size, temp, a timer, a frother setting for making cappachino, makes tea and iced coffee) but the Vue cups I can only find at Bed Bath & Beyond (and every time I go there, when I check out they ask me if I know these are Vue cups and not K-Cups) and on Amazon. But I also bought a reusable Vue cup with a reusable filter so I can use regular coffee, grind my own beans.
While the Vue cups or K-Cups are a bit pricey and I dont buy them all the time, I actually found that Im saving money as brewing even a small pot of coffee, I typically poured a lot down the drain.
Just tell them it is coffee flavored Postum because they drink Postum hot.....I know.
Never understood that one either.
Where’s the snow??
Oh... wait...
You are going to be a LOT warmer than me in the week ahead!!
That looks familiar!
37° 14' 21.45"
112° 40' 21.41"
“Recommend 8 Oclock Italian Roast K-Cups though.”

Thanks for the suggestion.
Heading to the kitchen right now to make my last cup of the day.

If you love your coffee as brown, hot water, Keurig is for you!
