Would like to point out that the idea that more guns = less crime is based on the assumption that almost all those packing are law-abiding citizens.

Haven’t seen any numbers, but it seems logical that as the ratio of criminals to decent citizens increases, the effectiveness of this approach to crime reduction goes down.

Bet few thought they would ever hear a Detroit police chief say this. Actually he's made quite a few good moves in Detroit like stripping the Mayor of a 20 man security detail and keeping precincts open 24 hours.

If more citizens were armed, criminals would think twice about attacking them, Detroit Police Chief James Craig said Thursday.

What's that I hear? Oh, I recognize it, it's liberal/progressive/democRATs heads exploding...

Smells like victory.

“Bet few thought they would ever hear a Detroit police chief say this. Actually he’s made quite a few good moves in Detroit like stripping the Mayor of a 20 man security detail and keeping precincts open 24 hours.”

Now he needs to start giving his thoughts to the jerks that run the PD’s in all our major cities.

Hi.

I will shed no tears for the playa.

The only thing I will shed is more money for ammo to dispatch the "playa" to Valhalla.

Craig has also restarted the stop and frisk program ended by Chairman Young many years ago. I know he was looking into criminally charging dispatchers for knowingly lying to callers after after 2 callers were murdered while waiting for police that weren’t even coming.

One of my neighbors is a former Detroit cop. He says “Hallelujah, someone has seen the light.”

He told me about the “virtual precinct” crap meant that you might have 20 cops on duty for one shift and none on duty for the next 16 hours. When the precincts were open were traditionally the lowest crime hours.

Good. Now maybe they’ll do the right and honorable thing and institute constitutional carry in MI.

“What does that mean?”

Constitutional carry is the ability to carry a gun, openly or concealed, without a permit. I think we’re up to 5 states that allow it:

AK, VT, WY, AZ, and AR.

WE ARE WINNING! This guy is like David Horowitz, who made the “conversion” from Liberal to Conservative and now can’t understand how he could have been so wrong for so long. Our real enemies now are the GOPe RINOs.
