My highschool chem teacher, Mr. Heron, loved blowing stuff up. I think He is the reason that I became a Chemical Engineer. He never injured any of us students, but did take out a big chunk of the T-bar ceiling in the chem lab one time.

What movie is that scene from? Not a movie. It's a scene from a Breaking Bad episode: "Crazy Handful of Nothin'" [season 1 episode 6.]

I consider it a measure of the school’s educational prowess that they have tenth graders who are so ignorant as to not know how to pull the pin on a fire extinguisher...

The worst thing that happened in my high school chem lab was an open bottle of butyric acid.
When the bottle is labeled ‘warning, stench’, believe it.

I think I remember that.
Wasn’t that the inspiration for Elvis Presley’s big hit,
Return to Cinders?

Those would never work here in Colorado.
The Forest Service only starts ‘controlled’ burns here during high winds, winds too fast for helicopter flights.
