Rep. Jim McDermott said Thursday that Democrats should adopt a “two-pronged approach” to their agenda and for the midterm elections this year — with one of the prongs involving Obamacare.
“I think there clearly is an exciting thing happening today,” Mr. McDermott, Washington Democrat, said on MSNBC. “For the first time many people have health care and that’s going to be an issue that Democrats I think can run on and be very proud of, and the other side’s going to have a hard time explaining why it isn’t good for people to have health insurance and be protected against previous problems they’ve had and getting their children covered. That’s going to be hard.”
The White House this week touted figures that showed more than 2 million people have selected health care plans through state and federal insurance exchanges, and almost 4 million learned in the first two months of the health care law’s rollout that they’re eligible for Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program.

Personally I think the whole Obamacare system was designed from the beginning to fail so that dems could push through another 12,000 pages of legislation to fix what they broke deliberately.

And how many have been forced off their private health insurance to placate this tyrant?
I would be surprised if that figure of 2 million hasn’t been padded being it came from the WH.
A few days ago I read over 6 million have lost their coverage but don’t know if it’s an accurate figure.
Everyone whose policy [coverage]does not meet the criteria set forth in the ACA will lose said coverage. All policies that do not meet the standards set forth in the ACA became null and void at: 00:01 hrs 01-01-14.
What is the number that lost their insurance due to Obamacare? Those numbers have to be factored in as well. The last number I saw was over 4M. So there is still a net loss of 2M.
That figure of lost coverage has to be higher then, wonder if they’ll ever release the true numbers.
I believe it was the intent of the administration to force people off their health insurance so that it would provide an initial bump to get Obamacare going.
They were expecting people to panic and immediately sign up making their numbers look good.
All they did was make people mad.
